Ask your doctor if you should throw away the reminder pills (iron pills) each day rather than swallowing them if you take any medications that may interfere with iron, such as levodopa, levothyroxine, penicillamine, tetracyclines, and quinolones like ciprofloxacin. These drugs’ effects may stay diminished by iron.
