Health Risk Write for Us:  A health risk assessment is a questionnaire about a person’s medical history, demographic characteristics and lifestyle. It is one of the utmost widely used screening tools in health promotion and is often the first step in multi-component health promotion programs.

A health risk is a chance or likelihood of somewhat harming or otherwise affecting your health. Trouble doesn’t mean that something wrong will happen. It’s just a possibility. Several characteristics, called risk factors, affect whether your health risks are high or low.

The good news is that good physical activity, for example, brisk walking, is generally safe for most people.

Heart disease and stroke are two important causes of death in the United States. At least 150 minutes a week of good physical activity can lower your risk for these diseases. You can reduce your risk even added with more physical activity. Even physical activity can lower our blood pressure and improve our cholesterol levels.

Type 2 Diabetes also has Metabolic Syndrome

Physical activity can lower your risk of evolving type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is a combination of too much fat about the waist, high triglycerides, high blood pressure, low high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, or high blood sugar. People begin to see the benefits of physical activity, even if they don’t meet the recommended 150 minutes of modest physical activity per week. Additional amounts of physical activity seem to reduce the risk even more.

Some Cancers

Being physically active lowers your risk of developing several common cancers. Adults who participate in more significant amounts of physical activity have reduced chances of developing cancers of the:

  • Bladder
  • Breast
  • Colon (proximal and distal)
  • Endometrium
  • Esophagus (adenocarcinoma)
  • Kidney
  • Lung
  • Stomach (cardia and non-cardia adenocarcinoma)

Suppose you are a cancer survivor. Regular physical activity helps give you a better quality of life and improves your physical fitness.
